About Us

Avowedcast is a Avowed Gaming Podcast by the fans and for the fans.

When did it start? Avowedcast was created by Tsora in August of 2020 after the release of the first trailer for the game at the XBOX Games Showcase. Avowed is Obsidian Entertainment’s first person RPG set in the world of Eora. This world was the backdrop for the Pillars of Eternity isometric RPG series. Avowed is expected to release in the fall of 2023.

How is this podcast different? Tsora wanted to create a podcast that was owned by the fan community. Fans are allowed to submit video, audio and written content that will be shared among the community. Fans are also invited to help guest host various episodes, allowing for very diverse commentary and opinions. Tsora coordinates, hosts, moderates, edits and posts each episode. The podcast is not affiliated with Obsidian Entertainment.

What content and topics will be shared and discussed each episode? Though Tsora will bring a variety of questions and topics to the table, discussion has no limit. Anything is fair game. Obvious topics will include game content, news updates, patches, mechanics, art, lore, culture, geography, etc. However, fans can steer the conversation by submitting video/audio/text questions, opinions, observations, theories, gameplay stories, and much more. Guest podcast fans can join us live and talk about their gaming experiences and express opinions on any gaming-related topic. Even though most content will be focused on Eora or Avowed, discussion may cover other gaming topics/products and fan interests.

How long is each episode? It depends. Depending on how much content is submitted, how many guests join, the amount of news released, and topic depth, episodes could last anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours. However, most episodes will last from 1 to 2 hours.

How regularly will you post an episode? Until Obsidian begins revealing details and information about Avowed, we plan to record and post at least one podcast a month. Since our guest hosts hail from all around the world, schedules can be a challenge. So, instead of releasing many shorter episodes, we try to make each episode count, packing them with as much info and commentary as possible.

Where can I find the podcast? Our main platforms will be iTunes and Spotify. However, you can also find us on Sticher and TuneIn. We plan on expanding to YouTube when Obsidian starts releasing screenshots/videos/interviews.

Do you need help? YES! Obviously, this podcast is a passion project. We do not get paid anything. We do not monetize either. But, if you are a fan and don’t mind not getting paid, we would love to have you join our little team. We need help with everything from updating the blog with regular content, screening fan mail/voice/video, advertising the podcast, moderating our future Discord server, guest hosting, editing, and more. Email us to let us know how you want to help: avowedcast@gmail.com

Do you let other fans join you on the podcast to talk? YES! That’s what makes our podcast unique. In fact, we hope to have many different and diverse voices from time to time. However, if you agree to participate, you consent to having your vocal commentary on the podcast and YouTube. So, if you are a fan and want to join us on a live recording, please contact us with your info: avowedcast@gmail.com

Are you affiliated with Obsidian Entertainment? No. We love them. We would gladly buy them breakfast and second breakfast. But, we don’t work for them. We don’t get paid by them. Heck, we don’t even think they know we exist! We are merely fans like you.
